Metro Mars

The process of 3D printing has become an important fabrication method in design, and experimenting to the extremities of building a habitat on another planet further demonstrates its functionality in the structure of building. The process of constructing a domicile society on Mars would begin with creating the necessary components of life for the future civilizations of outer space. The site of Holden Crater, an ancient river delta, not only creates deposits of clay and groundwater, but carves the environment into an even, protected area. The design creates habitable and comfortable spaces for the occupants that will result in perceiving a natural experience in an unnatural environment, proving that architecture is still necessary in the closing near future of extraterrestrial building.
